Join me as I talk with Venn Johns, 3 x American Ninja Warrior Competitor, Professional Bull Rider, Black Belt (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Karate), Former US Gymnastics Federation Team Member & Former Professional MMA Fighter
Martin Luther King Jr. once said “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.  Nothing in life worthwhile is easy.”
If this is to be the standard by which, as a society, we judge athletes and influencers, then the place where Venn Johns stands is with his feet placed strongly and firmly at the top.
Born in Oklahoma where he was raised by his grandparents, Alta Geraldine and Jackie Thomas Johns, Venn met with more challenge in his young life than even adults would find difficulty in bearing.  His father and lifelong hero, Larry Venn Johns, with whom Venn was very close and to whom Venn gives the credit for everything he has become, passed away tragically when Venn was only 7 years old….

Kenda has spent her life on the back of a horse. She started competing at the ripe old age of four and continued all throughout her childhood in both Western and English disciplines. After an apprenticeship in Texas with some of the country’s top cutting horse trainers, she was introduced to the sport of mounted shooting in California, where she qualified for the World Championship after only her 4th competition.
Since those early days, she’s developed a reputation as an accomplished trainer of both horses and people, won just about everything there is to win in the competitive arena and cultivated a thriving business dedicated to introducing others to her sport.
Her proudest accomplishment remains winning the title of Overall World Champion, becoming the first woman to best her male competitors. She did this riding Justin, a former trail horse that she nurtured from scratch, building him into a phenomenal equine athlete.
Kenda’s business is based in Arizona, which allows her to offer training year-round.

KOLT BARBER is just a good, ole boy—plain and simple. He’s a hard-working, hands-on Georgia native who’ll be the first to say he’s endured bumps and bruises from life mistakes; but with a cowboy spirit that runs deep, the maverick has the tenacity to get back on the horse. He’s a devout patron of the land whose favorite canvas is painted from a front porch swing view that gazes across the crop fields and grazing horses. Marrying his passion for the land with his love for music, Kolt has spent years writing and performing before heartland country music fans. His dedication to his fellow blue-collar crop growers and livestock wranglers, and his country music following, make him a standout in both fields.
With the grit of toughened leather and a gentle man’s demeanor, Kolt Barber is a true country purist. The rugged, loyal man with a mysterious aura, untamed spirit and innocent charm feels as much at home roaming the pastures on his ranch by day as he does setting fire to the stage with an electric performance each night.
Playing nearly 70 shows a year, he’s shared the stage with numerous country music legends, including Travis Tritt, John Anderson, Tanya Tucker and has sat across the dining table swapping jokes and exchanging wisdoms with Waylon Jennings—one of his biggest influences (in line with Haggard, Cash, Vern Gosdin and The Eagles).
When it comes down to it, the laid-back, real time cowboy is as honest as the day is long. Before a crowd of 40,000 or 400, Kolt Barber does not disappoint. His deep, rich, baritone voice captivates with the drop of every heartfelt note; his dynamic stage show is a must-see attraction. With gumption to give it his all, Kolt Barber delivers a performance as exciting as an 8-second ride.

A LETTER FROM PATSY DIETZ-SHIPLEY
I want to personally thank everyone for being interested in learning more about our fundraiser and our mission.
My name is Patsy; I am the surviving spouse of Danny Dietz, a Navy SEAL that was killed on June 28th, 2005 during Operation RedWings.
The loss of a loved one has a great impact on someone’s life, but even more so when they are taken from you when you never expected it.  Danny and I had just bought a new house, had our two dogs, and dreamed to grow old and have children…that all changed by a knock on my door that delivered the news that my husband was killed in Action. Being part of the SEAL community, you know there is a certain danger that your loved one must face…you know that country comes first…. and there is a chance that you will not see him one day…. but nothing prepares you for that.
I decided after Danny’s loss to turn that pain and sorrow into something positive that reflected his character of loyalty and strength, by being there for the community that he loved and respected, the SEAL community. I started getting involved with the NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION, the foundation that primarily takes care of this community. They were the first ones to come to my door after the tragedy and continue to help me and many other families that have lost their warriors fighting for our FREEDOM.
In 2009, Mr. Dan Quinlan was present during one of my guest appearances where I spoke about Danny and after the event he reached out asking if he could help bring more awareness on Danny’s story, his Teammates and the NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION.  He came up with the idea of doing a fundraiser every year in Texas that donates 100% of the proceeds to the foundation by doing a Memorial Roping where you would combine the two worlds of the “All American cowboy and Teamwork” with the “All American Warrior and No Quit mentality”. Every year the event is getting bigger and bigger and it’s thanks to all of you that come out and support our cause to help the SEAL community and remember not only Danny, but all the men that have died on June 28th, and all the men in the Navy SEAL community that have sacrificed so much.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and hope to thank you myself one day.

Join me in an awesome, informative and inspirational conversation with Stephanie Griffey, The Courtroom Cowgirl. Stephanie is an Idaho equine lawyer, horsewoman, wife and mom. Her journey as a lawyer started at a private firm where she spent too many hours in a desk chair and not enough time in the saddle with her family. Although her job was secure and safe, it was not conducive to her cowgirl lifestyle. Stephanie made the risky decision to stand up for herself and her dreams. She quit. Now, Stephanie runs her own law firm pursuing equine law – a necessary and emerging legal field given the profound presence of the horse industry. Not only does Stephanie find joy in her job, she works less, makes more and lives a life abundant in family, horses, barrel racing and team roping. Stephanie shares her western lifestyle, inspiration and western inspired courtroom attire on Instagram.

Tom Heshion Founder of Equine and Wines and a team of world renowned experts, are building one-of-a-kind community just minutes from Tombstone, Arizona.
Tom has had an exciting career in entrepreneurship as well as horsemanship. He developed the vision behind Equine and Wines. As an owner and manager of 29 horses, Tom swears that he is not addicted to horses, but admits he is addicted to the therapy they have provided him during his stressful years in executive management.
Like most serial entrepreneur’s, Tom started his first company with his $5,000.00 savings. By age 22, that company had grown to over to over 13 million in revenue. After 10 years of success, wanting a career change that reflected his love of horses, he purchased 2 PVC fence distributorships and started National Fence Company. He chose that name, not knowing at the time that it would expand into an international enterprise. After the sale of that company to Sears in 1996, he was hired by Auto-by-Tel as the Midwest Regional Director, then, promoted to President and was instrumental in the launch of the first ever, successful, IPO for a Dot-Com company. That IPO evaluation was in excess of $500,000,000.00. The company was noted for boldly purchasing the first NFL Superbowl ad for a Dot-Com company. Unlike most of the other dot-com start-ups, Auto-by-Tel.com is still in business today. NASDAQ (ABTL)
By the late 1990’s, Tom realized where his abilities were best suited; Tom went into the Venture Capital business where he oversaw numerous investments for the firm. One of the ventures led to him taking a position as the CEO of Recreational Technologies, a failing technology company. Tom changed the direction of the company when he envisioned their current technology being used as a broadcast tool. He assembled the team to build out his plan, and raised the capital. That is the strike-zone and pitch placement technology now used repeatedly in the broadcasting of professional baseball, instant replay.
Today, Tom is still in love with his high school sweetheart Cindy, and oversees trust fund investments in the medical, technology, organic farming, and equine industries. Organic Hays, LLC is the company he is giving most of his attention to, today. Tom is a true entrepreneur at heart, who volunteers his time mentoring young entrepreneurs attending the Kauffman Foundation School of Entrepreneurship. His organic agricultural investments and research over the past two decades have led him to the unique vision of Equine and Wines and a community of organic agriculture, built with off the-grid power technologies that supports the continuation of the equine industry.
