Join me as I talk with Mikaela Standifer a Modern Cowgirl living her dream in the high desert of Central Oregon. Mikaela  moved to Silver Lake, Oregon in 2015 and has no plans on leaving the desert! She grew up with horses, competing in local shows, Oregon High School Equestrian Team, and became Miss Eugene Pro Rodeo Princess in 2014 and the Queen in 2015. It was during her reign in 2015 that she discovered the benefits of Equine Sports Massage Therapy, witnessing a demonstration at the Oregon State fair. At that moment she knew that she wanted to pursue helping horses and became certified in 2018. She currently works full time while pursuing her ESMT career. Mikaela lives in the small town with boyfriend (currently away with the United States Marine Corps), 2 dogs, and horses, enjoying riding, ranching, and always learning!

Jake Church is an actor known for Heartland (2007-2017), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Klondike (2014), Tin Star – Stunts (2017), & various other film projects. Jake has played the part of Jake Anderson on Heartland for 10 years, and played Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway’s son in Brokeback mountain when 11 years old.
Jake’s Family has a long history of ranching in Canada & his Grandfather supplies horses for the majority of movies filmed in Canada. I was thrilled to have Jake on the show and this was an exciting interview.

I was around the rodeo and ranching lifestyle, but the fashion is what caught my eye. I’m a lover of all things old school- especially western. My biggest dream was to become a fashion designer, but the one that emphasizes the old west in the designs. My general attire is square toe ostrich boots and a whole lot of turquoise. Simplicity is best in my fashion mind, except when turquoise is being worn. I love everything about the western world, and strive to keep its style alive. God is my number one man and my life goal to be the best light of Christ I can be. My business prays over decisions, works hard with proof from the callouses on my teams hands, and listens to 90’s country in the shop.”
The Coyote Cowgirl clothing line is all about vintage western, a dash of punchy, plus some gypsy in the mix. We strive to keep our families old buffalo ranch tradition alive in the designs! Brian Rosebrook, born in Central Oregon in 1979, was horseback before he could walk and has been an avid team roper since age 12. “Before I was injured I had many jobs I was a horse trainer, framer, concrete finisher, and  logger. I was hit by a falling log in 2009 that broke my back and left me with out the use of my legs. After a couple of years I found a special saddle and figured out how to rope again. Now I am a competitive World Series Team Roper and qualified for the #8 Finale in 2017, & the #8 and#10 World Series of Team Roping Finale 2018. I also am the owner of GET YA SOME Clothing a small business I launched to inspire others to get up and “GET YA SOME” of life.

DARBY HINTON is a native of Los Angeles. He was born in Santa Monica, California. He made his acting debut at the age of 6 months old in the arms of Jayne Mansfield in the TV show “Playhouse 90”. He went on to appear in numerous features and television shows, until the day his mother dropped him off at Twentieth Century Fox, (dressed in knee high socks and a lederhosen), to audition for a role in “The Sound Of Music”. Darby got lost and wandered into the wrong line of kids, by the time his mother found him he had turned in his lederhosen for a coon skin cap, and ended up playing Fess Parker’s son “Israel Boone” on the “Daniel Boone Show” for the next six years. While in recent years it seems to be in vogue for child actors to talk about their early acting years as ones of pain and abuse, Darby looks back on his life with fun and excitement. “It gave me the opportunity to travel the world and meet some of the most interesting people in it”. In fact Darby likes to travel so much that after finishing high school in Lugano Switzerland, he took three academic around-the-world voyages aboard the S.S. Universe. He went on to study under Jacque & Philippe Cousteau and almost gave up his acting career to become a marine biologist, however, once you start a career in Jayne Mansfield arms it is hard to give up that kind of work. Besides acting gave Darby the kind of freedom that he loved to explore his other passions like flying, skydiving, and martial arts. After meeting Bruce Lee, who at the time was playing Kato on the ‘Green Hornet’ series, Darby got very interested in martial Arts. He traveled to Hong Kong to see where Bruce first studied. He even got the opportunity to study under William Chung The World’s Grand Master of Wing Chung and the man who taught Bruce. He then spent a couple of years playing “Ian Griffith”, the probation officer that turned into the Salem rapist, on “Days Of Our Lives” The most recent chapter in Darby’s life revolves around human development. After meeting and working with the master of motivation, Tony Robbins, Darby realized his life’s work as an actor had been trying to figure out why people do what they do. He eventually became a master trainer for Tony Robbins taking a number of years off doing seminars all around the US including Hawaii and even in Fiji. Darby then sought out other Masters in the world of human development to study with, like Wayne Dryer, Julia Cameron, and Jim Rohn.
Darby has been a proud member of the ‘SAG/AFTRA Young Performers Committee’, an active member of ‘A Minor Consideration’ and on the Advisory Committee to ‘Looking Ahead’. All geared to helping the creative youth of today experience the best of life while helping them avoid the pitfalls that have plagued young artists of the past and present.

Zane Cook is a professional bull rider from Ft Gibson OK and has been riding bulls for 13 years, eight years professionally. Zane qualified for the PBR world finals in 2016. Zane says, “When I’m not busy on the road I’m at home on the family ranch raising bucking bulls and managing my apparel line G2H Clothing.” He had the opportunity to be in a Christian based documentary called Surfers and Cowboys a http://www.walkingonwater.com Film and has been traveling the country doing Movie Premiers.
