Have you ever considered writing a book? Join me as I talk with Tom Alberti about how he got his start and what it takes to write and get published.
Tom Alberti is a forty six year resident of Arizona. Tom and his wife Dru live on a horse property in Queen Creek, and enjoy riding their horses all over Arizona.
Many of the riding adventures described in his books are the based on his own experiences throughout the state.
The first novel “The Horseman” has been followed by three more Horseman stories. This four book series is based on the adventures of Tom and Dominique Blandini, a Tucson cattle family.
Tom has also written two independent novels, and a book of western short stories. Six of the seven books take place in Arizona.

Brendan ‘Badger’ O’Reilly is an Australian professional mixed martial arts fighter, and horseman. Brendan grew up competing in a variety of sports, and was initially taught to work horses by his grandfather, who was a thoroughbred racehorse trainer. Brendan competed in high school and college rodeo, before focusing on a career in mixed martial arts, eventually earning a contract to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Brendan is a state wrestling champion, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black belt, and continues to train horses to this day.

Born into and raised into a ranching family in Cisco, Texas, Stephen Reich early on developed a strong work ethic that was the basis of understanding a long work day sometimes went far beyond [8:00]-to-[5:00]. It was this work ethic, along with his natural business acumen, that drove him toward success.
Drawing on his discipline and ambition, Stephen left Cisco to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree, soon following that with earning his MBA from Tarleton State University. With degree in hand, Stephen set his sights on Fort Worth, eager to see what the world had to offer a young man on the cusp of his career.
Stephen’s extensive real estate knowledge is apparent, whether he’s opening the front door to a lavish custom home, or the back gate to a cow pasture amidst thousands of acres. He has sold numerous cutting horse ranches and equestrian estates, demonstrating his understanding of what attributes an equine professional (or backyard enthusiast) wants and needs in a horse property. At the same time, his extensive portfolio of fine homes and properties he’s bought and/or sold proves he’s developed the polished eye and the business savvy to know how to please the most scrutinizing of clients.
Stephen welcomes a challenge, tackling any venture with the enthusiasm and strategic planning needed to see it through to success. This attribute is perhaps his greatest asset in the real estate business. While most transactions flow easily and close with few complications, there are inevitably those that do not. This is where Stephen truly shines. With extensive experience in working with foreclosures and short sales, whether it’s a commercial property, residential, or farm and ranch, he knows how to negotiate the most difficult of transactions, seeing them through to closing.
At the end of your contract, not only will you have the property, ranch, or home you set out to purchase or sell, you will also have a business partner and a friend you can depend on. Never far from his roots, Stephen continues enjoy living a rural lifestyle.

Jason Johnson has a passion for Police K-9’s and he has dedicated his life to working with them, as well as training and taking care of them. Jason believes that Police K-9’s perform selflessly for the departments and agencies they work for, and in return, they are not offered that same respect, in their retirement years, by those they served. It is Jason’s goal to ensure he educates the public on the costs and responsibilities of adopting a retired hero and that every Police K-9 in the United States has their medical, food and end of duty costs taken care of for them so they may live the healthy and happy retirement that they deserve.
Currently, Jason works full-time as President and CEO of K-9 Solutions International (K-9SI), where he manages domestic and international K-9 detection contracts and consults with civilian and government agencies. When he isn’t actively working for K-9SI, he volunteers for Project K-9 Hero, working hard to grow the foundation so that he can serve as many retired K-9 heroes as possible.
Before Jason began splitting his time between K-9SI and Project K-9 Hero, Jason served as a Field Canine Coordinator for the U.S. Government, where he provided program oversight and subject matter expertise to law enforcement canine teams and federal canine teams. He provided leadership, technical advice, guidance and direction to ensure the overall effectiveness and utilization of explosive detection K-9 teams. He ensured that national program policy, standards and guidelines were communicated in a clear and effective manner to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, while also ensuring adherence to such measures. He served as a K-9 liaison to civilian and law enforcement officials on the federal, state and local government levels.

Join me and Christy Burleson as we discuss her photography career over the past 25 years. Christy says, “I would have to say that photography is my passion, but along with photography, I also am a licensed hair stylist and make-up artist. So one of my favorite things to do is make people up and photograph them to create and capture their inner and outer beauty. Everyone has something beautiful about them, their smile, their eyes, their personality, but the fact is sometimes they just don’t see themselves the way I do. I shoot all different kinds of people, genres, and locations. This is why it is so great when I have people hire me to photograph their,clothing lines, engagement shoots, weddings, families, ranches,etc. from all over the world. I just love it!
Along with my passion for photography is my passion for horses and travel. As a horsewoman, this allows me to capture horses the way the owners would want them to be remembered, And has allowed me to travel all over to special events and amazing locations.
When it comes to weddings my team of photographers, is my family. My Husband Ty, my son Austin, and my daughter Brandy. We all have our own style, but I am proud to say that we all have the ability to capture a great memory.
My motto in life is to be positive and look ahead, appreciate every day and see the beauty in all people, things, and the world around us! I love the fact that I have photographed the weddings of some of the people I have photographed as children! And I think it’s awesome when people call me “their” photographer. It really makes me feel special, because I know that I have captured their lives in photographs, the way they want to be seen and remember. On that note, I would like to thank everyone that has hired me to capture and create memories in their lives.”

I was captivated listening to Johns story, steeped in legendary Rodeo history. Join me as I talk with John Growney one of the hardest working men in Rodeo. John has a passion & drive for everything Rodeo & Cowboy working tirelessly to help ensure the growth and future of our sport. Growney Brothers Rodeo Company started in 1977 and has put on amateur rodeos, high school, college and pro rodeos every since.
In 1983 John purchased the bull Red Rock and started bucking him in PRCA rodeos. An interesting fact about Red Rock was that outside the arena he was dog gentle & loved to be scratched. Red Rock was retired after the 1987 National Finals Rodeo, unridden in 309 attempts but his retirement was short lived. In 1988, John Growney created the “Challenge of the Champions.” This seven-ride match pitted Red Rock, 1987 PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year, against Lane Frost, 1987 world bull riding champion, portrayed in the critically acclaimed 1994 movie “8 Seconds”. Frost finished with a 4-3 advantage, but it did more to Red Rock’s fame than his previous 309-0 record. Red Rock was retired at the Growney Brothers Ranch in Red Bluff, California. You won’t want to miss this Episode!

Boys leave your egos at the door… Sarah is one amazing Modern Cowgirl with saddle bronc riding grit and a gift for horsemanship & training. She describes herself as a traveler and lover of adventure. ” I have two dogs, Beau and Tipsy that go with me everywhere. I have always loved animals, and have raised and rehabilitated basically every thing you can think of. I grew up in Texas, always outside with my brother playing in the dirt and exploring the property. I always loved the ranch and began learning to start colts (actually horses 4 years+ that had never been handled) around the age of 13. It became my passion and I have been doing it ever since. I team roped and break-awayed through high school, dabbled in reining and cutting, sold colts of my own and trained for the public. I day work and cowboy as well. With my love for adrenaline, it also led me to be one of the few lady bronc riders of the world. I fell in love immediately and it has become my hobby and job for the past two years, as well as landed me on a great TV show. I recently moved to Wyoming to cowboy, and experience new places while I’m still young enough. I love the Lord, and all his creations. I plan to live my life ranching, training, rodeoing and maybe following my not-so-well-known hobbies, photography or leather-work when I’m older and don’t move so easily.”

Courtenay DeHoff is a cowgirl turned television personality whose witty and charming antics have grabbed the attention of Deadspin, Yahoo!, The Huffington Post, LIVE with Kelly and more.
Most recently DeHoff hosted The CW’s nationally syndicated television show “Morning Dose”.
DeHoff also acts and recently appeared in Season 3 of USA Network’s “Queen of the South”.  She played a US journalist sent to interview queen pin Camila Vargas in the crime-drama thriller.
In 2016 DeHoff was named a top 10 finalist in the “LIVE with Kelly” guest co-host search with Kelly Ripa! She was selected among thousands of entries thanks to her audition tape, which featured a tongue-in-cheek take on her rural lifestyle.
She grew up in the heart of America on a cattle ranch in Kansas and she uses her unique background to set her apart in the entertainment industry.
She loves educating the public about Rural America and what it means to be a cowgirl.  As a rancher and professional rodeo athlete she strives to never lose sight of where she came from.  No matter what city she is working is she remains true to her country roots.
